Global Career Challenge 2023
The Global Career Challenge 2023 (GCC 2023), organized by IKA UNAIR USA in collaboration with Indonesia Lighthouse Inc., is a program designed to empower students and professionals by enhancing their global career readiness.
A notable achievement from GCC 2023 is Wahidah Mevi Nihayah, a Communication Science student from Universitas Airlangga, who secured first place in the challenge. Her success highlights the program’s effectiveness in preparing participants for international opportunities

World Angklung Day 2025
Celebrating 15 Years of UNESCO Heritage
In November 2025, Indonesia Lighthouse proudly spearheaded a landmark celebration of the Angklung’s 15th anniversary as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Our journey began on November 15th at the Mills High School Theater in Millbrae, serving as the regional centerpiece for the San Francisco Bay Area. In a powerful display of cultural synergy, the event featured an extraordinary collaboration between Indonesian maestro Manshur Angklung and local ensembles, uniting Angklung enthusiasts from across the USA.
The celebration continued on November 16th at the iconic Field Museum in Chicago. In partnership with the Indonesian Consulate General in Chicago, we transformed Stanley Field Hall into a living symphony. Visitors of all ages moved from spectators to performers during our signature interactive play-along, proving that “many hands” truly create one magical sound.
