About Indonesia Lighthouse

Guiding people.
Connecting opportunities.

Indonesia Lighthouse is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization founded in August 2022
by Ari Sufiati and Dian Widhi. We empower, connect, and uplift Indonesian talent
while fostering collaboration, innovation, and cultural pride.

Who We Are

Inspired by the purpose of a lighthouse, we help illuminate pathways, strengthen meaningful connections, and support people and communities as they navigate learning, leadership, culture, and global engagement.

Indonesia Lighthouse was created to help bridge people, ideas, and opportunities across borders.

Beyond building connections, we are committed to creating an inclusive ecosystem where Indonesians and local communities—both in Indonesia and abroad—can learn, collaborate, grow, and contribute meaningfully to a better world.

Through educational, leadership, cultural, and community-based programs, Indonesia Lighthouse expands access to opportunity, strengthens global connections, and amplifies the contributions of Indonesian talent.

Our work brings together students, professionals, educators, cultural practitioners, community organizations, institutions, and supporters who share a commitment to positive impact.

Our Vision

Shaping the World.

Indonesia Lighthouse envisions a globally connected ecosystem where Indonesian talent is empowered with knowledge, skills, networks, and international exposure to strengthen leadership, innovation, cultural identity, and meaningful contribution to Indonesia and the world.

Our Mission

Empower. Unite. Thrive.

We empower Indonesian talent through learning, leadership development, cultural engagement, and access to global opportunities. We unite people, communities, institutions, and partners across industries and borders, creating pathways for collaboration, innovation, cultural exchange, and lasting impact.

Why “Lighthouse”?

Indonesia Lighthouse was founded on the belief that people should not have to navigate opportunities, challenges, and change alone.

The name “Lighthouse” reflects our purpose: to illuminate pathways, provide direction, and help people connect with opportunities and one another.

What began as a shared commitment to support Indonesian talent and strengthen community connections has grown into a platform that brings together education, leadership, culture, innovation, and collaboration.

Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful contributions to Indonesia can be made from anywhere.

By connecting people, knowledge, and opportunities across borders, we help create an ecosystem where individuals and communities can grow, collaborate, and contribute with purpose.

Our Approach

We create and support programs that are practical, inclusive, collaborative, and connected to real opportunities.

Program Support

Our programs and activities are strengthened by seasonal interns, contributors, advisors, and volunteers who support different initiatives throughout the year. Their involvement may include research, communications, partnerships, program coordination, event planning, operations, cultural engagement, and community outreach. Because participation changes based on program needs and availability, individual names are recognized through specific event materials, program recaps, and acknowledgments rather than maintained as a permanent team list on this page.

Let’s build meaningful opportunities together.
